About the Journal

Abyssinia Journal of Health Sciences (AJHS) is a newly established, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal published by Wollo University, Ethiopia. The journal aims to provide a platform for the dissemination of high-quality research and scholarly work in the fields of medicine, public health, and health-related sciences. AJHS welcomes original and impactful contributions across a broad spectrum of disciplines including medicine, public and global health, nursing and midwifery, pharmacy, laboratory and diagnostic sciences, biomedical sciences, veterinary public health, zoonotic diseases, environmental and occupational health, traditional and alternative medicine, digital health, health systems and policies research, and nutrition and dietetics.

The journal accepts a range of manuscript types, including original research articles, case reports, case series, short communications, and comprehensive review articles, based on relevance and editorial invitation. To be considered for publication, all manuscripts must demonstrate scientific rigor and offer a meaningful contribution to the existing body of knowledge. Submissions should present either novel research findings, notable clinical or public health cases, or comprehensive reviews of current issues in the health sciences.

AJHS is committed to advancing evidence-based practice, enhancing scientific communication, and supporting the academic and professional development of the health science community, particularly within Africa and beyond facing similar health challenges.

Date of Publishing: Every year first issue in JANUARY and the second issue in JULY.
